KENNETH JOHNSON

KENNETH JOHNSON is an energetic and caring administrator with a record of giving back and making a difference. Ken is also a proud military veteran, Commissioned Officer, United States Air Force.

For over Thirty-Five years, Ken, Founder and Executive Director of Support Options 4 College Inc (SO4C), has been providing guidance and financial assistance to young people in their pursuit of higher education. Ken has helped thousands of young people go to colleges throughout the U.S. and abroad. Assisting young people in realizing their educational goals is a major part of Ken's life work.

Ken is a fundraiser by trade and uses his craft to assist local, national and international nonprofit organizations achieve their fundraising goals. As such, he has held various development, programmatic, and leadership roles. Some of the most noted organizations include, the Salvation Army, the United Negro College Fund, College Summit, and After School Matters as its first Director of Development with additional fundraising responsibilities for Mayor Richard M. Daley's Neighborhood Sports League and Summer Youth Employment Program.

He is a fellow and graduate of the Allstate Foundation Greater Good Nonprofit Leaders Program in conjunction with the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and of the Crain's Chicago Business Leadership Academy. He is listed among Who's Who In Black Chicago and has received numerous awards in recognition of his work.

Ken is a Life Member of the National Alumni Association of Bethune-Cookman University, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc and the NAACP.

He is an active member of Apostolic Church of God, where he sings second tenor in the Brotherhood Chorale and Mass Choir. He serves as a member of the usher board as well.
